AMMAN — Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, the
Director General of Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), has stated that the
Ajloun cable car project is expected to play a prominent role in tourism promotion
programs and double the number of local and foreign visitors to the
northwestern region.

According to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, the initial trial phase of the project has begun, but the official
launch date has not yet been announced.
The JTB will work with concerned authorities to market the Ajloun cable car, also known as the Ajloun Teleferique, and put it on the tourism map through local, regional, and global campaigns.
In a statement, Arabiyat said that
the
cable car project would soon be part of the "Urdun Jannah"
program to promote domestic tourism.
