AMMAN —
A vocational training cooperation agreement, which aims to implement a joint
training program in line with the labor market requirements, was signed on
Sunday by Vocational and Technical Skills Development Council Chairman and
Minister of Labor Nayef Steitieh and the President of Al AlBayt University Hani
Al-Damour.
The program aims
to allow the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) to develop job opportunities
on the Al Albayt campus in hydroponics, hotel management, and logistics
support, reported Al-Mamlaka TV.
Steitieh said in a
statement that this cooperation between the VTC and Al AlBayt University comes
in response to the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Prince
Hussein to modernize and develop the vocational training system by making
educational institutions more accessible.
He added that the
VTC is keen to strengthen its partnership with all parties involved in
vocational training, providing training and job opportunities for youth, and
contributing to the government efforts to provide more job opportunities for
youth.
