Al-Balqa Applied University Secures Official Approval to Establish Madaba Technical College

Salt – Al-Balqa Applied University has announced it has received official approval from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish the Madaba Technical College, under a Royal Decree and instructions from Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan.اضافة اعلان

This initiative aims to strengthen technical education in Jordan and align its outcomes with the needs of both local and regional labor markets.

The new college will focus on offering specialized technical programs that grant diplomas in technical fields, emphasizing the preparation of skilled professionals to meet the demands of vital sectors.

Planned specializations include modern agriculture and its related smart technologies, tailored to the needs of Madaba Governorate and surrounding areas.

University President Dr. Ahmed Fakhri Al-Ajlouni stated that the establishment of Madaba Technical College reflects the Royal Vision, which highlights the importance of technical education as a cornerstone for sustainable development.

The college will play a pivotal role in equipping Jordanian youth with the skills needed to confidently and competently enter the workforce, empowering them to harness their potential in modern fields that address contemporary demands.

He added that the college will serve as a transformative force in supporting the local community in Madaba, opening new economic and developmental horizons by preparing young people and providing job opportunities aligned with the region's needs.

Additionally, it will foster an environment of innovation and creativity, positively impacting the local community’s development and advancing regional projects.

The Ministry of Higher Education emphasized the importance of Al-Balqa Applied University completing the necessary steps to establish the college, including identifying the site and allocating required facilities to ensure the college meets the highest academic and technical standards.

This initiative is part of the university’s vision to expand its academic services across Jordan’s governorates, supporting national sustainable development efforts.

It aims to offer innovative educational opportunities that align with global trends, opening new avenues for Jordanian youth to contribute to the development of the national economy.
