In his speech during the ceremony, held in Amman, Al-Fayez emphasized that empowering youth and providing a supportive environment for them is a national priority. He stressed that working as one team is the best way to face the economic and social challenges currently facing the Kingdom.

Al-Fayez pointed out that the Al-Qantara Center, which is managed by a group of young men and women from Ma'an Governorate, has achieved tangible successes in vocational training and rehabilitation. It has helped enhance the youth's ability to rely on themselves and generate economic returns that enable them to overcome issues like poverty and unemployment.

He praised the continuous efforts of those working at the center, confirming that its new strategy reflects its commitment to empowering youth in various fields, including economics, politics, and community work. He also noted that these efforts align with the Royal directives emphasizing youth as a cornerstone in the reform and development process.

Al-Fayez said that King Abdullah II gives considerable attention to the youth sector, believing in their capacity to bring about positive change. He called for the activation of policies and programs that ensure their effective integration into society and provide them with the tools for success, especially given the current economic challenges.

He added that supporting youth requires investing in their energy and initiatives, providing an environment that fosters creativity and leadership. This, in turn, would transform them into an economic and social force capable of driving change.

Al-Fayez also emphasized the important role of youth in combating negative phenomena and addressing hate speech and division, which threaten the social fabric through social media platforms. He urged spreading a spirit of positivity, belonging, and optimism among the youth.

The Chairman of the "Nuqul" Group and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Crown Prince Foundation, Ghassan Nuqul, stated that the center has, in a short period, managed to create a safe space for active participation by the youth of Ma'an. He praised the center's distinguished approach and the importance of its training programs aimed at skill development.

Nuqul also highlighted that every visit to the center reveals new achievements and continuous excellence, noting the fruitful cooperation between the Crown Prince Foundation and the center in the fields of youth training, skill development, and supporting the industries in which the youth excel. He confirmed his continuous support for the center and the youth of Ma'an by enhancing the spirit of volunteerism and building capacities.

Rakan Al-Ruwad, the General Manager of the Al-Qantara Center for Human Resource Development, affirmed his commitment to developing the center's model to be more innovative and inclusive. This aligns with national plans for economic and political modernization, as well as strategies aimed at achieving sustainable development. He explained that the new strategy is a dynamic roadmap, which can be modified and developed as needed in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, civil society organizations, and supporting partners. He also mentioned that thousands of youth and women have participated in the center's activities and programs.

The ceremony included a dramatic scene by the Al-Qantara Theater Troupe, a film showcasing the center’s activities and achievements since its inception, and success stories from participants who started as volunteers and became entrepreneurial leaders.

A filmed presentation was also shared, highlighting the strategic framework for the years 2025-2027, which includes programs for economic empowerment, civil participation, safe spaces, and the goals to be achieved.

The event was attended by several officials, including the Minister of Youth, Engineer Yazan Al-Shdeifat, the Governor of Ma'an, Hassan Al-Jbour, the Head of the Petra Development and Tourism Authority, Dr. Faris Breizat, the CEO of Ma'an Development Company, Ayman Al-Sharari, Senate members Dr. Mustafa Hamarnah and Asya Yaghi, the British Ambassador in Amman, Philip Hall, as well as representatives from local community institutions and diplomatic bodies.

At the conclusion, Al-Fayez honored the supporting agencies of the center, including local and international donor institutions, strategic partners, and advisory board members, in appreciation of their role in supporting the center’s initiatives.

It is worth noting that since its establishment in 2012 in Ma'an Governorate, the Al-Qantara Center has aimed to build the capacities of youth, enhance their self-confidence, equip them with skills, and encourage their leadership and creativity. The center also promotes active participation in the social, political, and economic life of the southern governorates, working towards the development of a civilized society through its development projects and initiatives.
