AMMAN — Palestinian
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Al-Maliki received the letter of accreditation of
Jordan’s Ambassador to Palestine Issam Al-Bdour, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

Maliki welcomed the Jordanian ambassador at the
ministry in Ramallah on Sunday. He commended the relations between the two
countries, as well as the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah in defending the
Palestinian issue at the UN and other international forums.
The minister also addressed recent developments on
the international scene and Israel’s continued violations of the Palestinians’
rights. He stressed the need to further intensify international efforts to end
the “apartheid regime” based on international law and resolutions of
international legitimacy.
The ambassador reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to
support the
Palestinian cause, and the two-state solution. He expressed hope
that Palestine will enjoy independence and security.
