Dr. Nasser Al-Rahmanah, the media spokesperson for the municipality, stated that the launch of the Ramadan cannon, for which all necessary arrangements and preparations have been made at the site, comes with the goal of reviving Amman's old heritage. The cannon has historically been a key symbol of life during Ramadan, used to announce the time for Iftar.
