Amman governor bans concerts

AMMAN — On Friday, Amman’s Governor Yasser Al-Adwan decided to ban all concerts in Amman until further notice, according to Al-Ghad News. Adwan’s decision also banned the issuing of any licenses to hold any concerts in Amman. The decision was issued after the attendees of a concert posted videos that showed overcrowding of people and non-adherence to physical distance and wearing masks, which violates the defense orders.  The concert was held on Thursday at the Abdali Boulevard. Adwan asked to meet with the concert’s organizers to take the necessary legal measures against them as Jordan entered the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
