Amman - The National Cyber Security Center announced Wednesday the details of the upcoming 2024 Dot Cyber Summit, slated for September 18 and 19 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.اضافة اعلان

Bassam Maharmeh, head of the center, highlighted that the summit aligns with Jordan's strategic vision to become a regional hub for technology and elevate the Kingdom into a global information society.

Emphasizing the directives of Crown Prince Al Hussein, Maharmeh underscored the summit's goal to bolster Jordan's national cybersecurity framework, safeguarding both public and private sectors. This initiative aims to foster a secure investment environment conducive to business growth, thereby reinforcing Jordan's international standing as a hub for innovation and cybersecurity development.

Addressing the pressing challenges in the digital realm, Maharmeh stressed the summit's pivotal role in promoting international cooperation to ensure a secure and stable cyberspace globally. He noted the summit's significance in unifying efforts against escalating cyber threats, facilitating knowledge exchange among experts, and fostering regional dialogue on cybersecurity policies and practices.

The summit will focus on stimulating innovation in cybersecurity technologies, encouraging research and development of advanced solutions to address future challenges, and raising awareness about cybersecurity risks across various sectors.

Key topics include emerging cyber threats, international collaboration in cybersecurity, leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to detect and respond to evolving threats, and enhancing digital skills development.

Sessions will also cover strategies for safeguarding critical infrastructure such as electricity, water, transportation, and communications from cyber threats, with dedicated discussions on cybersecurity challenges in the financial sector.

Highlighting the summit's educational component, Maharmeh announced the "Best Project in Cybersecurity" competition for university students and a professional competition in ethical hacking, showcasing innovative solutions and talent in the cybersecurity field.
