AMMAN —
Applied Science Private University in Amman
came in first place amongst the Middle East and North Africa, in the
international competition for 2021 cybersecurity and 22nd internationally out of 1,216 participating teams in the 48-hour competition.

According to a statement released by the university on
Tuesday, the DeadSec team from the Faculty of Information Technology won the
first round playoffs. The team is composed of students Hamza Abdul rahim,
Mohamed Hindush, and Ranem Humed.
The team won first place and qualified for the final
competition, which will be held November 12 to 14 between qualified teams from
countries from all across the world.
