AMMAN — Around 72 percent of Jordanians have health insurance, and of those insured, 43 to 44 percent are covered by civil health
insurance, Director of the Health Insurance Department at the Ministry of
Health Nael Adwan said on Monday.اضافة اعلان
Jordanians are insured through military insurance and
university and private hospitals, he said, noting that those covered by first-,
second-, and third-class insurance amount to 3.4 million, Al-Mamlaka TV
reported.
Regarding more people being covered via civil health
insurance, Adwan said he spoke with Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh. He
added that an announcement would be made soon in this regard.
