Aqaba Water Company has dismissed
the circulating rumors about the presence of bacteria in the water in the
city of Aqaba.

They stated that the water is attested by
laboratory examination reports conducted by the Health Directorate and
laboratories of the
Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, which reveal no
contamination.
Moreover, the water quality and chlorine
levels in main reservoirs and the distribution network are constantly monitored
and tested by the
water company's personnel. Therefore, any reported cases of
illness admitted to hospitals have no correlation, whether directly or
indirectly, with the quality and type of water, Ammon News reported.
Concluding the statement they emphasized,
"hence, we urge our fellow citizens not to propagate this audio recording
and not to panic over its contents. It is important to remind citizens of the
necessity to periodically inspect water tanks and ensure their proper closure
to prevent any foreign matter from contaminating the water and causing its
deterioration. Additionally, regular cleaning of tanks and replacing any
damaged ones is advised to safeguard your health and well-being."
