Aqaba port expected to receive 22 cruise ships in November— Majali

About 2,180 German tourists arrived in Aqaba today, Friday, on a ship, which is "the first cruise ship in the winter cruise season" that arrives in the coastal city, according to Majali.

 

German tourists are awaiting "a full program towards Wadi Rum and Petra," according to Majali, who said that "all the logistical and transportation requirements, and that the specialized tourism company working on this program has conducted all the necessary measures and is ready to make this visit a success."

 

The cruise ships will continue to arrive in Aqaba until the end of this year, as "34 ships are registered on the flight registry with fixed arrival dates, most of them within the next month," according to Majali.

 

He said that he expects 22 ships to Aqaba in November, with a rate of 1 ship per day.

 

As for the number of tourists coming on these ships, "the numbers contained in the records varied between 900 tourists and up to 4,000 tourists, depending on the length of the ship and the equipment of these ships."
