AMMAN — On Monday, the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi
Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, and Syria will convene in Amman to discuss a political
solution to the ongoing crisis in Syria.

This meeting is a follow-up to the GCC consultative meeting
held in Jeddah on April 14, 2023, which included Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt.
According to Sinan Al-Majali, the spokesman for the Jordan
Foreign Ministry and Expatriate Affairs, the Arab foreign ministers will
discuss several initiatives during the meeting, including one put forward by
Jordan.
The goal of these initiatives is to find a political
solution to end the crisis in Syria.
