AMMAN – Arab Potash Company (APC) announced net profits
amounting to JD239 million at the end of 2023 third quarter, while mining taxes
and fees stood at about JD128 million during the same period, according to the
Jordan news agency, Petra.
This was up from JD 236 million in the same period last
year, according to the company’s financial statements.
Commenting on APC's policy, its Chairman of Board of
Directors, Shehadah Abu Hdaib, said they were working towards increasing the
mining sector’s contribution to gross domestic product to exceed the current
percentage of 2.2 percent.
