AMMAN — The Arab Forum for Agriculture began on
Sunday under the title "Arab Food Security in the Face of
Challenges", gathering Arab and international organizations and agricultural
development and food security experts, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

The forum’s CEO, Awni Kloub, said on Sunday that a strong
agricultural sector is essential to food security, but that despite its
strengths, the Arab world’s agricultural sectors lag behind.
During the forum, participants will explore means of
cooperating and exchanging expertise, and discuss opportunities and challenges in
the agricultural field, with the aim of enhancing production.
The forum also aims to establish a platform for
Arab agricultural cooperation and attract specialists in agricultural affairs for
periodic fruitful dialogue to advance sustainable agricultural development.
