AMMAN — The UN Economic and Social
Commission for Western Asian, in cooperation with Jordan Enterprise Development
Corporation, are organizing an Arab summit for public and private institutions
and entities supporting small- and medium-size business, which will take place
in Amman on October 29, according to Al-Ghad News.

Twenty main sessions and 10 activities will be held
to enhance the potential of small and medium businesses and help them reach
regional and global markets, as well as to help them engage with diverse
sources of funding, leverage regional and international networks and increase
their ability to expand.
The summit provides a regional platform that brings
together national and international public and private leaders to advocate
comprehensive policies and strategies that support small and medium enterprises
in the Arab world.
The summit is expected to bring together around 600
participants from Arab countries, including economic ministers, heads of
official economic bodies, economists, entrepreneurs, investors and businesses,
as well as representatives of intergovernmental organizations and civil
society.
