AMMAN - An official source in the General Command of the
Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army has denied the authenticity of the news circulated on social media, which identified the Jordanian fallen soldier whose remains were found yesterday in the Tel Al-Akhira area in Jerusalem.

The source confirmed to Al Ghad that the armed forces dispatched a specialized committee yesterday, Thursday, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs. The committee determined the identity of the fallen soldier through genetic testing, and reclaimed the military holdings that were found with the remains of the fallen soldier during the excavations in the area of Tel Al-Thakhira, where the battles of the Arab Army took place in defense of
Jerusalem during that period.
The source indicated that the Armed Forces will announce any measures and results taken relating to the case, stressing that the Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army is the only source for any information and news in this regard, calling on all media outlets to obtain information from its official source.
