AMMAN — The State Security Court
has sentenced an armed bank robber with a 15-year term of temporary
imprisonment with hard labor, according to Al-Saa News.

The defendant had seized a sum of JD12,221 while
conducting an armed robbery at an Amman bank in 2019.
The court charged the defendant with
carrying out actions that endanger the safety and security of society and
disturb public order, sow terror among the public, and intimidate and endanger
economic resources, contrary to the provisions of Article 2 and in the context
of Article 7 of Terrorism Law No. 55 of 2006 and its amendments.
The accused was sentenced to 15 years of
hard labor and monetary penalties, and all implements used in the crime were
confiscated.
