AMMAN — Lower House member Saleh Al-Armouti called on the government to surrender ownership documents to the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem Saturday and any other related documents in Jordan’s possession so that they could submit them to court before it announces its decision on the case, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

Armouti told Jo24 that the government, which is looking into the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood case is not specialized in these kinds of cases and Jordan must support the people’s steadfastness there by giving them the documents.

He added that the people of Arab East Jerusalem are witnessing an unprecedented attack on their homes and Jordan should support them and stand with them.

Armouti pointed out that 97 Jordanian soldiers had died defending the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood and Jerusalem,  indicating that this is clear evidence of the sacrifices made by the Arab army and that Jordan is directly concerned with verifying home ownership of the people of Sheikh Jarrah.
