The opening of the new hall reflects the continued approach of General Command of Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army, in commemorating fallen soldiers, who died in defense of Jordan, according to a
JAF statement.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Huneiti was briefed by the zone's commander, Brig. Gern., Naji Manaseer, who said the hall's establishment reflects JAF's appreciation for the martyrs' sacrifices in defense of Jordan's borders under the Hashemite leadership to counter attempts to tamper with the Kingdom's security and stability.
Meanwhile, Khdeirat's family expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II and Army chief for this generous gesture.
Khdeirat was killed in an engagement while carrying out his official duty at the beginning of 2022, on the northeastern border front, with a group of smugglers.
In a related context, Huneiti inaugurated the new building of Eastern Military District Court, which was newly established in the zone's command, which houses a number of administrative facilities to facilitate the court's role to carry out its duties.
The two occasions were attended by a number of senior JAF officers and a number of commanders of the zone's formations and units.
