Army foils infiltration, smuggling attempts from Syria

AMMAN - The Eastern Military Zone has foiled attempts of infiltration and smuggling, Friday's dawn, from Syria into the Kingdom, a source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.  اضافة اعلان

The source added that the border guards in coordination with the security bodies and the anti-narcotics departments dealt with militant groups led by external organizations, adding that the rules of engagement were applied.

After searching the area, the source added, the military and security personnel seized 716,000 Captagon pills that were referred to the relevant authorities.

The JAF continues to respond to such militias and organized gangs by using "full force" to protect the citizens and the security of the Kingdom, the source stressed.
