AMMAN — A total of 614,763 household
electric meters have registered on the newly launched e-platform kahraba.gov.jo
as of Sunday morning, to benefit from government electricity subsidies,
according to data announced by the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission
(EMRC), according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Jordanian subscribers, who registered on the electricity
subsidy link, accounted for 98.61 percent so far, while the number of Gazans
residing in Jordan reached 1.32 percent. Percentage of temporary Jordanian
passport holders hit 0.8 percent, the EMRC figures showed.
To date, the government e-platform for the subsidized
electric tariff for the household sector received 1,481 observations,
inquiries, and complaints, which “are being addressed gradually,” the EMRC
said.
