AMMAN — The Final Planning Conference for the 2022 Eager Lion drill concluded
here on Thursday, in the presence of Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Director
of Military Training, Brig. Gen. Kayed Jarat and senior officers of
participating countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Speaking at the event, Jarat said: "2022 Eager Lion exercise is a great
opportunity for the participating troops to test operational defensive
capabilities in combating terrorism, border security, maritime security,
disaster response, and humanitarian aid."
During the conference, the drill's scenario was reviewed to simulate strategic
changes in the regional and international environment, to meet all participating
countries' defense requirements, according to a JAF statement.
The 5-day conference went over all activities, plans, arrangements, and
operational and logistical requirements to implement the drill, the statement
added.
Scheduled to kick off in September 2022, 30 brotherly and friendly countries
will participate in the multi-national drill's activities, in addition to
Jordan and the US.
