The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that a report was received from a group of expatriates who were robbed by a group of individuals. The suspects entered their residence in the center of the capital, claimed to be security personnel, and took 4,000 dinars from them.

The spokesperson added that an investigative team from the Criminal Investigation Department and the Central Amman Police was immediately formed. They identified the types of vehicles used by the suspects and circulated their descriptions to all patrols across the kingdom.
One of the patrols in Irbid Governorate spotted one of the vehicles, stopped it, and arrested four individuals inside. The complainants identified them as the same individuals who had impersonated security personnel and stolen their money under threat. Part of the stolen amount was recovered, while a fifth suspect remains at large.
Authorities urge expatriates to verify the official identity of anyone claiming to be security personnel and to exercise their right to request identification. In case of suspicion, they are advised to contact the emergency number 911 immediately.
