The Traffic Department has activated an advanced monitoring system that relies on artificial intelligence (AI) technology to detect violations of mobile phone use while driving. This step aims to enhance road safety and reduce accidents caused by drivers' distractions in Jordan.اضافة اعلان


The department confirmed that using a phone while driving is considered a dangerous behavior, as it leads to mental distraction, slows reaction times, and increases road deviations, significantly raising the likelihood of accidents.

It was also pointed out that the new system can automatically detect various phone usage positions while driving, whether the phone is held in hand or being looked at, enabling precise enforcement of violations without direct human intervention, under the slogan:
"Because your life is more important."
