Khalayleh said
that 20,000 people had applied for hajj this year on the ministry’s online
platform.
Saudi Arabia set the number of pilgrims this year at 1 million, with
3,600 places being allocated to Jordan, a decrease from last year’s 8,000
pilgrims.
The ministry stated that the missions accompanying
the official pilgrimage are not counted from Jordan’s hajj share but will be
reduced too.
