Bahraini embassy marks independence day

AMMAN  — The Bahraini Embassy celebrated its country's Independence Day on Wednesday at the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.   In remarks during the ceremony, Bahraini Ambassador Ahmed Al-Ruwaie praised the "deep and strong ties" with Jordan, noting that the two nations are celebrating the golden jubilee of Jordanian-Bahraini relations. Attended by Senate President Faisal Fayez and several senior officials, MPs, senators, diplomats, and journalists, the ceremony commemorated the modern era of Bahrain, which began in 1783 AD.
