AMMAN —
Balqa Applied University (BAU) President Ahmed Ajlouni and consultants at the
Netherland-based World Water Academy (WWA) on Monday discussed implementation
of joint projects between the BAU, WWA and the Delft University of Technology
(TU Delft), according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The two sides discussed the
WATRA project, which is housed in BAU's deanship of scientific research, to build an
innovative business model that draws the future of the International Research
Center for Water, Environment and Energy at the BAU and enhances its role of
benefiting researchers locally and globally.
Consultants presented a brief on
WWA's activities around the world and its part in achieving sustainable
development through specialized technical training programs that target human
and technical resources in the water sector.
They pointed out their role in
conveying
Dutch expertise in designing curricula and building business
incubators, as well as the long-term effect of the WATRA project.
Ajlouni stressed the deep-rooted
relations with the WWA and TU Delft, commending the project's role toward development
and sustainability. He also thanked the Dutch embassy in Amman for its support.
