The ambassador said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of Bangladesh, “dreamed of a ‘Golden Bengal.’ The golden Bengal he dreamed of was a country free from hunger, poverty, illiteracy, and communalism.”

The ambassador went on to highlight the country’s development in different fields including education, health, agriculture, information, technology, women's empowerment, and more, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu.
