AMMAN - Minister of State for Legal Affairs/ Head of Inter- Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment, Wafa'a Bani Mustafa on Thursday, affirmed Jordan's support for the
Palestinian people, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Speaking at a meeting with Palestinian Minister of Women's Affairs Amal Hamad, Bani Mustafa also affirmed the government's "unrelenting" endeavor to enhance aspects of joint cooperation with the Palestinian authority in various fields, in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives.
Greeting struggle of Palestinian woman, Bani Mustaf stressed the "deep-rooted, brotherly and historic" relations between the two countries.
The meeting also went over possible ways of cooperation in empowering women and enhancing their participation in public life politically, economically and socially, according to a statement.
Bani Mustafa highlighted Inter- Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment's role and its contribution to modernizing multiple legislations, aimed to increasing Jordanian women's political and economic engagement.
Bani Mustafa said the gov't committee is currently working on integrating women's empowerment in Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision and in public sector development process.
In addition, she affirmed the government's readiness to cooperate with Palestinian side to benefit from Jordan's expertise in women's empowerment, especially in political, economic and public sector modernization and legislation development.
For her part, Palestinian minister hailed Jordan's support for Palestine in all fields, commending steps taken by the Kingdom in the field of women's empowerment within political, economic and administrative modernization visions.
In this context, she referred to School of Women's Political Participation launched by Jordan's Inter- Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment and highlighted importance of benefiting from Jordan's expertise in all modernization areas, which focus on women's empowerment.
