Speaking to Roya, Bar Association President Yahya Abu Aboud stated that the march reflects the position of Jordanian lawyers, which aligns with the broader sentiment of the Jordanian people in standing behind King Abdullah II’s firm rejection of forced displacement and the notion of Jordan as an alternative homeland.

The Bar Association also announced, via its online platforms, a decision to suspend all court proceedings at 11 AM as a symbolic gesture of support.

Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi received the march in front of the Parliament building on Tuesday, and similarly voiced his support for His Majesty’s rejection of the displacement of Palestinians.

Several members of parliament who spoke during the march also reiterated their full support, emphasizing their united front to defend both Jordanian and Palestinian identities and reject any proposals that threaten the kingdom’s security and stability.

In a related show of solidarity, lawyers in Salt held a protest at the city’s courthouse, backing the King’s stance in defending Palestinians’ right to remain on their land and rejecting any forced expulsion efforts.
