Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmad Al-Safadi, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to President Masoud Barzani during an official visit to Erbil, part of his broader visit to the Republic of Iraq.

President Barzani emphasized the deep fraternal ties between Jordan and Iraq, praising Jordan’s efforts under the leadership of King Abdullah II in supporting Iraq’s security and stability.
Barzani also underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Jordan in ways that serve their mutual interests.
For his part, Speaker Al-Safadi stressed the need to further develop relations to achieve shared Jordanian-Iraqi interests, highlighting the importance of overcoming any obstacles to joint economic cooperation.
The Speaker affirmed that Jordanian-Iraqi relations are strong, rooted in a long history of cooperation serving the causes of the Arab nation, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
The meeting was attended by Jordan's Consul General to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Fouad Al-Majali, and the Director General of the President's Office, Mahmoud Al-Khalaileh.
