The Jordan News Agency, Petra, said the agreement
was inked by Ayla’s Managing Director Sahl Al-Dudin, and Birdie Managing
Partner Akef Al-Zoubi.
Birdie gives people of all experience levels and age
groups the opportunity to enjoy and experience the game in a wholesome virtual
setting by providing indoor golf simulators from golf courses worldwide.
Through this cooperation, the two companies will
advance and expand the golfing community in Jordan by focusing on cooperative
activities, trainings, events, and more with the goal of attaining annual
growth in golf among the youth and adults.
It was also agreed that both companies would
collaborate in cross marketing to provide services and facilities to members
and relevant clients from each side.
In addition to promoting Ayla golf tournaments,
Ayla Golf Club will host events and a membership program for Birdie customers, and
Ayla’s professional golf teams will hold training sessions at Birdie for their
clients.
The two establishments will host a variety of
activities and events, including weekly scramble competitions, ladder games for
the youth and adults (individual competitions), weekly karaoke nights,
ambassadors and VIP events, golf clinics (for youth and adults), golf clinics
with Ayla professionals, company competitions, and special live music events.
Dudin, Ayla’s managing director, reaffirmed his
firm’s continuous effort to play a significant and effective role in fostering
sustainable development in Aqaba at all levels of the economy, society, and
sports.
In addition to recognizing
Aqaba as a regional hub
for such activities, Dudin noted that the growth and spread of golf will aid in
the development of a new generation of professional players.
Birdie said the distinguished partnership with Ayla
will help broaden the appeal of golf among many Jordanian social groups rather
than limiting it to a particular category.
To support Ayla’s efforts to develop the sport and discover
a passionate and skilled generation in it, Birdie will make use of its full
capabilities and technical expertise in the field.
