AMMAN — The Ministry of Energy and
Mineral Resources on Monday said that a black-colored substance shown in a
video at the Dead Sea was not oil.
She said in a statement, that a geology team from the ministry
visited the site on Sunday after the video was circulated on social media.
The site was examined and the team found that the color was caused
by runoff of silt, mud, and salt that had dissolved in the water, according to
Al-Ghad news.
