AMMAN – A number of blind individuals with doctoral degrees
expressed their willingness and readiness to compete for academic positions at
universities in a meeting with Jordanian senators.

Members of the Jordanian Senate, led by
Deputy Senate President Mufleh Al-Rahimi, met with the individuals to listen to their challenges and
discuss the provision of employment opportunities for the blind in various
Jordanian universities, according to Hala News.
The individuals highlighted their willingness to undergo any tests
or interviews to assess their academic abilities and suitability for these positions,
utilizing modern learning methods.
Rahimi emphasized the importance of integrating people with
disabilities into society and ensuring their rights to compete for jobs and
employment opportunities.
He confirmed that the Senate would work on following up with the
relevant authorities to ensure they have job opportunities that match their
abilities and qualifications.
