AMMAN — The media spokesperson for the Public Security
Directorate on Sunday warned people of the current
heat conditions in Jordan,
advising them to adhere to the safety guidelines issued by the Civil Defense
Directorate (
CDD).

In a statement, the CDD advised people to stay hydrated and
to wear light and loose-fitting clothing, and to avoid direct exposure to the
sun.
The statement also warned people against leaving sanitizers or
other highly flammable substances in vehicles, and warned parents not to leave
children in vehicles or outside in the sun for too long.
The CDD said people should not hesitate to call 911 in case
of emergencies.
