CSPD Director
General Fahd Amoush said on Tuesday that the measure will facilitate things for
citizens, who will thus enjoy the best services, and that it was taken as part
of the CSPD’s plan to digitize.
He said that the latest e-service is one of 15
others it is already using; it will enable citizens to issue their documents
electronically, saving them time and effort.
Citizens may benefit from e-services by accessing
the e-portal on the department’s website, selecting the services needed from
the list, opening an account and activating it by sending copies of a photo and
ID card, to verify the identity of the applicant, and paying the required fees
electronically, through
eFawateercom.
According to
Amoush, electronic requests to renew a family book may be done by one of the
adult family members registered in the civil registry, while for issuing it for
the first time, only one of a married couple may make the request online.
The
Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship
issued a statement saying that launching e-services is part of the ministry’s
efforts to accelerate the digital transformation process in the Kingdom, in
cooperation with all ministries and government institutions, and to make it
easier for citizens to access a one-stop desk for interconnected government
services, which is one of the objectives of the public sector development plan.
