AMMAN — On Sunday, the Cabinet approved the
e-learning system in educational institutions for 2024.

This aims
to integrate e-learning, provide a conducive educational environment for
learners and the community, and ensure education continuity during emergencies
preventing school access for teachers and students. It also seeks to enhance
technology usage and employ modern technologies in educational services,
Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
During its session chaired by Prime Minister
Bisher Al-Khasawneh, the Cabinet also endorsed the scholarship system for the
children of teachers in the Ministry of Education for 2024. This aims to expand
the beneficiaries to include children of teachers, enabling them to study in
universities and intermediate colleges in Jordanian official universities at
the ministry's expense. It also encourages these students to specialize in
vocational and technical fields.
Additionally, the Cabinet approved the
National Tobacco Control Strategies for 2024 – 2030 and the National Action
Plan for 2024 - 2026. These initiatives aim to reduce smoking rates and
safeguard society from its harmful effects.
