The system comes in light of the issuance of the amended Administrative Divisions Bylaw No. (29) of 2024, which created new districts in some Jordanian governorates, which requires taking into account these constituencies within the related system.
The Council of Ministers also approved the amended Civil Aviation Fees Bylaw for the year 2024, aimed to address some issues governed by the regulation.
Additionally, the Council decided to approve the mandating reasons for a draft amended Administrative Structure Bylaw of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) for the year 2024, and referred it to the Bureau of Legislation and Opinion to proceed with the procedures for issuing it in accordance with the rules in force.
The system aims to create new administrative units and rename other departments, to align with the HCD's tasks and requirements of the Kingdom's administrative modernization drive.
On another level, the Council decided to approve recommendations of the Committee for the Settlement of Outstanding Issues between taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department to settle tax status of 47 companies and taxpayers.
In a related context, the Council decided to approve the recommendations of the Committee to Consider Pending Claims between taxpayers and/or violators, and Jordan Customs Department, to settle 24 cases for taxpayers and violators.
Under the settlement, beneficiaries must commit to pay the full due amounts, with any fees, taxes, or expenses, within a 2-month period from the date of issuing this decision.
