AMMAN — The
Cabinet approved on Monday a draft law
amending the Constitutional Court Law for the year 2022, according to
Al-Mamlaka TV.

The amended draft law comes in implementation of the
constitutional amendments to articles 40, 60, and 61, which are related to some
provisions stipulated in the Constitutional Court Law.
Under the amendments, the
Independent Election Commission is granted the authority to consider requests to establish parties
and to follow up on their affairs.
The Cabinet also approved a draft law amending the
law concerning officers’ service in the
Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) for
the year 2022, with the aim of keeping pace with the development witnessed by
the armed forces in various fields.
Under the amendments, some titles will be changed,
and the provisions related to transfer, recruitment, dismissal of officers, and
paternity leave will be reviewed.
The Cabinet approved as well a draft law amending
the Flag Service and Reserve Service Act of 2022 in order to enable the JAF, to
keep pace with technical developments and to automate their services.
