AMMAN — The
Cabinet, in a session chaired by
Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh on
Wednesday, endorsed Jerash governorate’s 2021-2025 tourism plan, according to
Jordan News agency, (Petra).

The plan
aims at uplifting infrastructure and basic services in the governorate, as well
as developing tourist and archeological sites.
It also aims
at boosting tourism and investment opportunities in the city of a thousand
columns.
The plan
comprises training, rehabilitation, tourism awareness, and developing
electronic services.
For his
part,
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Fayez said the plan was put in
place in coordination with all relevant authorities and with the participation
of the local community.
The minister
said that Jerash’s plan will be the springboard for other schemes in various
tourist sites countrywide.
