The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Saturday reached
62, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 3,145 new cases were
recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 7,708 and the caseload
to 662,395.

Breaking down Saturday’s tally, the ministry said that 1,032
cases were recorded in Amman, 640 in Irbid, 534 in Zarqa, 91 in Balqa, 198 in
Mafraq, 110 in Karak, 95 in Ajloun, 97 in Aqaba, 112 in Jerash, 75 in Tafileh,
53 in Maan, and 108 in Madaba.
The ministry added in a statement that some 2,835 hospitalized
COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 249
others were admitted, bringing the total number of hospitalized COVID-19
patients to 3,182. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at
around 66,334, according to the ministry’s statement.
More than 570,327 COVID-19 patients, including patients who
had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 12.65 percent of the 24,854 COVID-19 tests that were
conducted today came back positive.
