The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 86,
according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 5,232 new cases were recorded
in the Kingdom on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 7,469 and the caseload to
650,681.
Breaking down Wednesday’s tally, the ministry said that 1,736
cases were recorded in Amman, 1,034 in Irbid, 603 in Zarqa, 296 in Balqa, 295
in Mafraq, 273 in Karak, 197 in Ajloun, 181 in Aqaba, 130 in Jerash, 175 in
Tafileh, 114 in Maan, and 198 in Madaba.
The ministry added in a statement that some 3,022 hospitalized
COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 353
others were admitted, bringing the total number of hospitalized COVID-19
patients to 3,182. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at
around 72,885, according to the ministry’s statement.
More than 570,327 COVID-19 patients, including patients who
had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 13.00 percent of the 40,232 COVID-19 tests that were
conducted today came back positive.
