AMMAN— Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jobak Company and Governor of Central Bank of Jordan Adel Sharkas along with Director General of Jordan Business Systems Company Shafiq Nassar signed "Know your customer electronically (KYC) agreement, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The agreement aims ensuring that providers of financial services know their customers’ identities, the risks attached to providing services to different customers, and that customers are using services for legitimate purposes.
It also aims at enabling financial institutions to verify customer data by linking with the government database and digitally obtain its customers' information.
Based on innovative technology, the NYC came to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism activity, in addition to facilitating financial services for customers and enhance the efficiency and security of the banking sector.
