AMMAN — A
celebration was held in the
Romanian capital Bucharest to mark the launch of
chartered flights to Jordan, which are expected to boost the number of tourists
from the east European nation to the Kingdom.

Friday’s
celebration was sponsored by Jordan’s Ambassador to Romania Salman Al-Qudah,
and organized by the Romanian tourism agency, Christian Tours. The event was in
cooperation with the
Jordan Tourism Board, Al-Ghad News reported.
The Ambassador
addressed the ceremony, which was attended by more than 250 tourist agents and
representatives of the local press. He welcomed the announcement of the new air
route, which he said will significantly increase the number of tourists
arriving in the Kingdom.
He stressed the importance of launching the route through Christian
Tours-Romania, noting that the move is the result of sustained efforts between
the company, JTB, and the embassy to support and promote tourism from Romania
to Jordan.
