In an interview on the "Marwahin with
Nasreen" program on Hala Radio, Dr. Mansour stated that the number of
children who have been assessed as fit for air travel from Egypt to Amman is
seven. A
medical team has been prepared to receive them upon the news of the
plane's arrival.
In detail, Mansour stated, "We have
expressed our readiness within our capabilities to provide what is possible. We
have received a hastily compiled list containing the names of 41 children who
have recently been diagnosed with cancer and need treatment."
He emphasized that these children cannot delay
their treatment, and direct approval has been issued for their treatment.
However, the obstacle was the hindrance from the occupation to get them out of
the
Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that a number of them were
allowed to leave for Egypt in recent days, where they were examined to
determine who can travel by plane and whose health condition can tolerate it.
Mansour added, "The first group of seven
children has been assessed, and the necessary medical approvals have been sent
to the charitable entity that will provide transportation."
Dr. Mansour confirmed that the Jordanian
government has promptly granted the necessary approvals for their entry into
the Kingdom, adding, "We are waiting to be informed of the arrival of the
plane carrying the children and their escorts, at which point our
responsibilities will begin."
