month of
Ramadan.

Qudah
further added that the Corporation worked "based on the support provided
by the government, which totaled JD3 million, to stabilize prices at their
current indicators until the conclusion of the blessed month of Ramadan, by
maintaining a strategic inventory of basic goods and ensuring the availability
of all items," according to the Kingdom's report, Khaberni reported.
He
emphasized that the Corporation had committed to stabilizing prices until the
end of the blessed month of Ramadan, emphasizing that this "does not imply
that prices will immediately rise after
Ramadan."
He
explained that the prices of goods "depend on various factors, including
the Corporation's inventory availability, the resolution of the crisis, and the
cessation of the Israeli aggression against Gaza," noting that "all
these factors are taken into consideration to ease the burden on citizens,
particularly given the somewhat challenging economic conditions as Ramadan
approaches, a time when social obligations increase for citizens."
Qudah
stated that the Corporation had initiated a series of discounts starting on
Saturday and continuing until March 3. He elaborated that these discounts
encompassed over 300 items, with discount margins ranging from 10 to 40 percent
on the majority of essential goods, including rice, sugar, vegetable oils,
powdered milk, tea, and canned goods. He emphasized that all of these items
were essential for citizens, resulting in significant discounts being applied
to them.
Supporting local brands
Regarding
the issue of national industry and its support, he indicated that the
Corporation had been following a long-standing policy of contributing to the
support of national industries, firmly believing that supporting these
industries leads to their sustainability, thus creating new job opportunities
for the unemployed.
80% of the items displaced are local
Qudah
highlighted that "the shelves of the
Civil Service Consumer Corporation contain national industry goods of over 80 percent of the items displayed in
the Civil Corporation, which are national industries, and we aim to increase
these percentages if we exclude goods that are not produced or manufactured
locally, such as rice, sugar, some teas, and powdered milk. As for the
remainder, the majority of our items are national goods."
He
previously called on citizens to take advantage of the offers and discounts and
to refer to the official page of the Corporation on Facebook to view the
details of the items and prices included in the offers.
He
confirmed that the Corporation would announce a series of additional discounts
and offers following these current ones, just before the arrival of Ramadan.
Citizens
within the capital governorate can place orders through the online store via
the link or through the Corporation's mobile application named "Civil
Corporation Store."
