— During a press conference held on Sunday,
Sameh Al-Nasser, the president of the Civil Service Bureau, revealed important updates regarding the required
academic specializations and expected suspensions of others in the civil
service, as per Article (40) b) of
Civil Service Law No. (9) of 2020.

Specializations to be suspended
Based
on a comprehensive supply and demand study conducted by the CSB, certain
specializations are projected to be suspended for male and female graduates.
For male graduates, the following bachelor's degrees are expected to be
suspended:
Political Science, Primary Education/Teaching,
Banking and Finance,
Archaeology, Foreign Languages, Philosophy, Economics, Environment and
Environmental Studies, Elementary and
Child Education, and Administrative
Sciences. Additionally, the diploma in all educational professions is also
among the expected suspensions, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
For
female graduates, the following bachelor's degrees are likely to be suspended:
Political Science, Banking and Finance, Sociology, Foreign Languages,
Archaeology, Philosophy, Economics, Environment and Environmental Studies,
Library Science, Business Administration, and Administrative Information
Systems. Similarly, the diploma in all educational professions and Banking and
Finance may also face suspension.
Specific specializations needed
Conversely,
the civil service is in need of specific specializations for male and female
graduates across the Kingdom. The required specializations for
male graduates include Anesthesia and Resuscitation (Medicine), Engineering Professions such
as Renewable/Sustainable Energy Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering,
Artificial Intelligence Engineering, and Smart Systems.
Educational Professions in demand are Arabic Language and Literature, Vocational Education,
Mathematics, Sharia, Islamic Studies, and Physics. Additionally, the civil
service seeks professionals in fields related to rapid global changes,
especially in the digital domain, such as Cybersecurity, Artificial
Intelligence and Robotics, Computer Graphics and Animation, Virtual Reality,
Information Security and Electronic Space, Digital Forensic Investigations,
Digital Marketing, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.
For
female graduates, the civil service requires professionals in
Medical Professions like Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Nursing, and Engineering
Professions with a focus on Renewable
Energy Engineering. Similar to male
graduates, there is a demand for expertise in rapidly evolving digital fields
like Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Computer Graphics and
Animation, Virtual Reality, Information Security and Electronic Judiciary,
Digital Forensic Investigations,
Digital Marketing, Data Science, and
Artificial Intelligence.
Moreover,
the comprehensive community college diploma program has specific required specializations
for male graduates, including Medical Professions such as Anesthesia and
Resuscitation,
Public Health, Sterilization, and Radiology.
Additionally, there
is a need for Engineering Professions in all technical specializations at the
comprehensive community college diploma level. Finally, Administrative
Professions like Warehouse and Supply Management are also sought after in the
civil service.
