AMMAN — The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group on Monday began a cleanup campaign across the Dead Sea’s shore. اضافة اعلان
The campaign aims to protect the shore from pollution and
restore the region to accommodate visitors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In a statement, the group said that the campaign is within
its environmental compatibility policy and environmental responsibility toward
the local community.
The campaign will include cleaning the ducts and rainwater
drains, ferries, streets, public squares, and center islands. It will also work
on spreading environmental awareness among the local community with the aim of
achieving a sustainable and clean environment.
The group also called on beach-goers to maintain the
cleanliness of public beaches.
