According to Bahou, this fee will apply to all CliQ
transfers, regardless of the minimum amount being sent. She emphasized that
this decision comes in light of
additional costs incurred by banks for
providing services through the system, Khaberni reported.
In 2023, the total number of transactions carried out via
CliQ reached 30.21 million, with a total value of JD5.11 billion. Additionally,
the total number of CliQ users by the end of January 2024 was approximately
1.24 million individuals.
Furthermore, Jordanian banks listed on the
Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), totaling 14 banks, achieved after-tax profits of JD1.01 billion
in the previous year. This represents a 20.3 percent increase compared to 2022,
as reported in the preliminary data published on the ASE website.
